I spent the last three days at Luang Prabang , a small city located in the North central Laos at the confluence of the Nam Khan River and the most famous Mekong River, about 300 Km away from Vientiane the capital of Laos. My time here was lovely. You can rent a bicycle and enjoy your days going around and looking at the local people in their daily life. In the evening you can have a buffet dinner for less than a pound along the main streets (very good!) and enjoy the night market. I could not miss a trip on the Mekong River, visiting the Ban Pak Ou Caves with more than 4000 Buddha's statues and the beautiful waterfalls! The people are lovely!
