I am in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is a lovely and welcoming place. This town offers you any sort of convenient way to visit the famous Angkor Wat (temple). Basically are a lot of temples, very different from each other, built in many and many years by different Kings. To visit all of them you should spend a month here, so I visited the main ones.

I could not miss to visit the Temple where they filmed Tomb Raider (Lara Croft)

The temples were abandoned for 200 years due to wars before be rediscovered by French people. The nature became part of it and made an astonish job! It was my favorite temple.

The best way to go around the temples is to have a tuk tuk driver...waiting you...

...A good company too, Jeanette from Canada! And a great breakfast!

This morning we woke up at 5 am to see the sunrise at the Temple...

I was not the only one!

Few more nice pictures from other Temples...my time in Cambodia was lovely, sad to say bye bye so early...new places are waiting me...see you in Australia!

After 12 hours by bus I arrived to Saigon. It is the biggest city in Vietnam...so there are even more motorbikes!

There are beautiful gardens where people make exercises and have a rest from the hot weather

There are few places you can visit but the post office is unmissable!

Vietnam has seen 5 different wars in its history. The most famous is the one against US. The Vietnamese fought strongly for their freedom and independence. 70 Km from Saigon you can see part of the 220 km tunnels on three levels the guerrilla fighters built in years to combat France and US after.

The model of the tunnel

I walked inside the first level just for 25 meters. It was so small (Asian size) and the feeling was awful. The guerrilla fighters lived in the tunnels even for months. The population were providing them food.

The hole (here more visible) for the air

They used anything to build what they need to live as sandals and to defense themselves

In Saigon the War Museum is very well organized and helps anyone to understand what happened in Vietnam and most of the terrible consequences the population (especially in the remote villages)  is still going through due to the toxic agents spread during the war by US army. I did not even feel to take picture inside.

There were several schools at the Museum. Three lovely girls wanted to take picture with me ( I did not really understand why) but they were so lovely and smiling. I took picture of them!

Today I flew to Cambodia. Bye bye Vietnam....
